  • On a per-student basis for districts like Oceanside, there is increased funding for large concentrations of low-income, English Language Learner, and foster student populations. Therefore, we are required to establish and confirm the number of students that represent these categories. During your Aeries Registration for 2021-2022 school year, you will be prompted to enter information for household size and income. Families who qualify can request a Benefits Verification Letter through Nutrition Services.

  • Where can I fill out a meal application?

    With Universal Feeding continuing through the 2021-2022 school year, OUSD is not accepting meal applications. All OUSD students will eat for free regardless of income. 

     

    Why am I being asked for household size and income during Aeries registration? If all student's eat for free, why do you need this information?

    Providing this information to OUSD helps bring in more funds. LCFF provides base funding for each student in a school district and supplemental funds for high-needs students—low-income students, English Learners, and children in foster care. Districts in which more than 55 percent of the student population is high needs receive additional concentration funds.

     

    Whenever I used to fill out meal application, I would receive a letter that I could use for other services [Internet, Cable, Camp Registration Fees, Pandmic EBT Card], how can I request a letter?

    Families who qualify based on their household income and size [information entered in Aeries during registration] are able to request a "Benefits Verification Letter" from Nutrition Services.

     

    I did not fill out the household size and income information during Aeries registration, but I need a Benefits Verification Letter. What can I do?

    1) If you did not fill out the information during Aeries registration, you can still fill out the required information at the following link: https://alternativehouseholdincomeform.oside.us

    I filled out the request for my Benefits Verification Letter but have not yet received it. What can I do?

    Please allow 2-3 days to process your request. If you have asked for your letter to be sent via email, please check your spam folder.

Our Goal

  • Our goal is to ensure that Oceanside Unified School District's students receive the maximum amount of funds that we are eligible to receive by completing the Annual Family Information Form. To receive the maximum amount, we must have 100% of eligible students/families complete the steps below. These additional funds help to provide supplemental resources for our students and hire qualified district staff to support them.
