    Joining in the Oceanside Unified School District is easy to do. To determine which school a student should attend, please visit the School Boundaries Locator on our website and enter your address or potential new address. The schools of attendance for that address will display.  For additional assistance, you may call the Student Services department at 760-966-7849.  

    Step 1: Enroll in our system.  Please visit our registration page.  

    Step 2: After enrollment, potential students and their parents should provide the following to their appropriate school office:

    • Proof of Residency
    • Birth Certificate
    • Immunization records
    • Previous school transcripts or recent report card
    • Current Individualized Education Program (IEP)

    Early Childhood Special Education

    SPECIAL EDUCATION preschool students (with existing IEP newly moved into the district) 

    Special Education Preschool Students must register in person at the OUSD Educational Support Services (ESS), 2080 Mission Ave. to be assigned an attendance school. Please bring a copy of your child's current IEP, Birth Certificate, Immunizations, and 2 proof of residency documents (lease agreement, mortgage, utility bill, military housing agreement).
