• Hello Del Rio Families!

I am so excited to be your principal, and I am looking forward to another amazing year with your students!

I am a long-time Oceanside resident and have two beautiful teenage daughters who also attend OUSD schools.  I have been a proud educator in OUSD for the last 25 years, serving 16 years as an elementary classroom teacher before moving into administration.  I passionately believe in collaborating with students, staff, and families to ensure that ALL students build upon their unique strengths, take risks, fail forward, and work to reach their goals!  We truly are a family here at Del Rio, and our teachers and staff work together to make sure that each student is supported.  Building a strong community, where each student feels connected, safe, and valued is essential.  I also believe that we must maintain high expectations for all students and allow them to set goals for success.  I have a strong background in instruction and what our students need to be successful in school and in life.

I am a proud graduate of both UCSD and CSUSM, and I am excited to continue our work to prepare our students to be college and career ready. Throughout this school year, we will continue to build our college-bound spirit, encourage students to take on leadership roles, and provide each student the support that they need to continue to show progress in reading, writing, and math.

Let's have a great year Vikings!
