OUSD Launches Our New Logo
The Board of Education selected a new district logo at their meeting this month. The concept reflects the progressive and inclusive components of the Oceanside Unified School District. The symbol allows people to make their own inferences about what they see in our district’s new logo.
The firms Alpha Graphics and Try J Advertising were hired to design the new logo. OUSD started by widely distributing a survey to get input from students, staff, and community members about what they wanted to see in this new symbol. Next, individuals from these different parts of our district and community expressed their interest in serving on a committee. Participants were selected to meet with these companies to form a shared vision.
After narrowing down their ideas and concepts to a series of final designs, they voted to decide on the top three from five different options presented to them. The top three were presented to the Board of Education who made the final decision and selected OUSD’s new logo.

La Junta Directiva de Educación seleccionó el nuevo logotipo del distrito en su reunión de este mes. El concepto refleja los componentes progresivos e inclusivos del Distrito Escolar Unificado de Oceanside. El símbolo permite a las personas hacer sus propias inferencias sobre lo que ven en el nuevo logotipo.
Las firmas Alpha Graphics y Try J Advertising fueron contratadas para diseñar el nuevo logotipo. El OUSD comenzó distribuyendo ampliamente una encuesta para obtener comentarios de los estudiantes, el personal y los miembros de la comunidad sobre lo que querían ver en este nuevo símbolo. A continuación, las personas de estas diferentes partes expresaron su interés en ser parte del comité. Los participantes fueron seleccionados para reunirse con estas empresas a formar una visión compartida.
Después de reducir sus ideas y conceptos a una serie de diseños finales, el comité votó por tres entre cinco opciones diferentes que se les presentaron. Los primeros tres diseños se presentaron a la Junta de Educación, que tomó la decisión final y seleccionó el nuevo logotipo del OUSD. ¡Gracias, Oceanside!
